Daniel Villareal found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. Villareal started his acting career landing roles in films, such as the Edward James Olmos biopic drama "Stand and Deliver" (1988), the Frank Whaley comedy "Cold Dog Soup" (1989) and "Angel Town" (1990) with Olivier Gruner. He also appeared in the TV movie "L.A. Takedown" (NBC, 1988-89). In the nineties, Villareal devoted his time to various credits, such as "American Me" (1992) starring Edward James Olmos, "Hitz" (1992) starring Emilia Crow and "Rock the Vote" (Fox, 1992-93). He also worked on "Menace II Society" (1993) starring Tyrin Turner. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Keanu Reeves box office smash action movie "Speed" (1994), the action film "The Getaway" (1994) with Alec Baldwin and the Jose Alcala dramatic period piece "...And the Earth Did Not Swallow Him" (1995).
